The Alteryx annual user’s conference Inspire 2013 in Phoenix, Arizona is in full force.  I was fortunate enough to host the Technology Tracks yesterday, and learned about the many different ways that customers are using, and can use Alteryx to help improve their business processes and decisions in a wide range of use cases in from a variety of industries in Wednesday’s sessions.  There were however some constant themes within each of the presentations;   Alteryx improves the consistency of their data and analysis and improves their productivity.
Some examples and highlights from the sessions:

  • Michael Barone, Paychex discussed how Alteryx delivers fast data processing from the desktop with no IT involvement.  It streamlines their analytical processing.  What used to take them four plus hours to process models, can now be achieved used Alteryx in about three minutes.
  • Greg Hall, Kaiser Permanente uses Alteryx to do Data Blending - pulling data from multiple sources and joining them together into a unified view, and then analyzes the data to drive better business decisions.
  • David Rardon, Pizza Hut, Yum Brands talked about how Alteryx transforms how they do their development analysis for site selection and trade area analysis.  Alteryx has flipped the process of data preparation, analysis, and communication, enabling them to spend less time on preparation and more time answering questions, experimenting, and making faster more consistent decisions.
  • Gary Schwartz, Alteryx and Mapping Analytics discussed how integrating API’s in Alteryx can streamline the decision making process through customizable analytic applications.
  • Then our own Amy Holland and Dipesh Patel talked about how delivering analytic applications into the Alteryx Analytics gallery, improving production by giving users access to analytics anytime, anywhere,  delivers the consistency of analysis from both the desktop or web.

Day one of the Technology Track sessions delivered some great experiences with Alteryx from users of all different levels.  Today, Day two looks to build on these with even more great content from more great users and organizations.
