For many attendees of Inspire 2015, complimentary product training is one of the highlights they've been looking forward to for months. I've had a chance to talk to several people as they've left their training classes, and the feedback has been extremely positive:
- New Alteryx users who are attending their first Inspire are really getting a lot out of the pair of "Getting Started with Alteryx (Beginning Users)" courses we've offered. They're learning the basics so they get on the right path to productivity.
- The "Data Blending & Parsing (Beginning Users)" courses we've offered have been packed with more new users since those are two fundamental skills that users need to learn, and they can pay immediate benefits. Most attendees already knew about all the various data sources we can blend together, but many were pleasantly surprised to see how robust the parsing tools are, and said they can't wait to give them a try with their data.
- Users who have had Alteryx for a bit longer are finding the "Macro Development (Intermediate Users)" class to be invaluable. Instructors are covering both standard and batch macros so attendees can package some repeatable processes into reusable tools that can save them time while developing workflows.
- Seasoned Alteryx veterans expect a lot of hands-on, technical details from training at this point in their development, and the early feedback is that we exceeded expectations. This was especially true in the "Predictive Analytics (Advanced Users)" course where the instructors went deep into the nuances of the predictive tools, including how to insert R code into Alteryx to construct a macro.
When you take into consideration the hundreds of people who arrived here in Boston for training today, combined with the hundreds who arrived yesterday, 400 people have participated in training across 25 classes in two days. That's a record number of people who have taken advantage of training during an Inspire conference!
We still have another eight classes on Tuesday, and another eight classes scheduled for Wednesday. And that's in addition to all the upcoming keynotes, the Solutions Center (where a lot of my team will consult 1:1 to solve business and technical challenges), and two tracks of customer-led breakout sessions.
There's also the "Alteryx Technology Track" – led by Alteryx associates who will give you details on a variety of topics, including "In-Database Blending & Analytics", "Interactive Visualizations for Predictive Analytics", "Deploying Analytics to Alteryx Server", and the always popular "Alteryx Tips & Tricks".
Tomorrow is going to be an action-packed day, and I look forward to unwinding with many of you at the House of Blues.
