Inspire 2017 is about two months away and if you haven’t registered yet, what are you waiting for? The Data Analyst Track features data analysts from our customers and partners, and is all about real world experiences. You'll learn right from our Alteryx icons who are making direct impacts in their organizations, as they share expertise to help you become iconic, too.

From best practices and how-to's, to case studies about their use of Alteryx to solve specific problems, these sessions are given by end users who are not only getting great benefits from Alteryx on a daily basis, but also bringing value to their careers and the organization’s investment in analytics.

If you still aren’t convinced that Inspire 2017 is a must attend event, here are some details on the Data Analyst Track sessions and speakers you won’t want to miss. And register for sessions via Agenda Builder here.

Alaska Airlines: Overcoming a Crap Rap and Mishap with a Recap and Heat Map

i2017-alaska-air-165x71Who wouldn’t want to attend a session with a title like this? Levon Johnson, Manager, Employee Data & Analytics, will share how Alteryx has enabled him to single-handedly elevate employee analytics at Alaska Airlines from the stereotypical "crap rap" HR reputation of gut-driven decisions to a data-driven, analytics intensive approach. Levon will share ideas and methods that can be applied to any function and industry. You will learn about real examples of quick-win projects, process improvements, meaningful reports, and the Alteryx workflows and tools that make it all possible. Levon has promised a fast-paced presentation that will highlight creating heat/thematic map visual analytics with geo-coding and reporting, deciphering names from free-form text boxes with fuzzy matching and parsing, and dealing with effective-dated databases with data preparation. This is a session not to miss!

MedPro Group:Self-Service Fuzzy Matching

i2017-medpro165x33The insurance industry is full of data in all shapes and sizes and when this data needs matched or duplicates need removed, Fuzzy Matching in Alteryx can be your best friend. Since Fuzzy Matching is…well…fuzzy, it doesn't always lend itself to flexible, automated solutions. Hear from Jim Kunce and Dulton Moore of MedPro Group – Berkshire Hathaway's dedicated healthcare liability solution — on how they use Alteryx macros and Alteryx Server to take the Fuzzy Matching tool and transform it into a comprehensive matching and deduping system that anyone in their company can leverage. The session will be a great opportunity for both new and experienced Fuzzy Matchers to learn how to expand the capabilities of the Fuzzy Matching tool, and Alteryx Server from the company who earned the Alteryx Excellence Award for Best Use of Server in 2016. You'll also learn the power of Alteryx batch macros and how these skills can be leveraged to solve a variety of business problems.

SCL Health: Is There a Doctor in the House? Joining Healthcare Data to Track Doctor-to-Patient Episodes

i2017-sclhealth-165x43From practitioners to procedures and insurance, SCL Health is using Alteryx to join and analyze data from many sources — a data lake in Hadoop, Excel spreadsheets, SQL databases, and more. Brenda Fosmire and Cyndi Tamayo, both Analytics Architects at SCL, will share how self-service data blending is helping them: analyze and report on patient outcomes to track doctor-to-patient attribution over time; how they are using Alteryx to build a current-state and historical doctor master index that is automatically dashboarded, and more. This is a session to add to your list whether you are in the Healthcare field, or simply interested in learning from two experts with extremely successful track records.

Redbox:The Road Most Travelled: How Redbox Optimizes the Largest Retail Network in the U.S.

i2017-redbox-165x79With over 40,000 kiosks across the U.S., Redbox has one of the largest and most complex retailer footprints. Managing this network requires Redbox to rely on custom Alteryx geospatial modules to help optimize their current footprint and identify attractive sites for new installs. In this session, Steven Fickes Jr. will focus on how Alteryx and Tableau play in the company's existing Site Selection process and the challenges Redbox faces in finding attractive new sites in an already dense network. He will also discuss recent efforts to refine their process by leveraging Alteryx to identify Natural Shopping areas with favorable demographics to support additional kiosk growth.

Dell | EMC:"How Soon Can You Get Here?!" – Optimizing the DELL|EMC Global Service Force using Alteryx (and Lemonade)

i2017-dell-emc-165x29When your access to data is compromised, so is your understanding of your business. Hear from Steve Scales, Senior Data Intelligence Engineer at DELL | EMC, about how Alteryx plays a crucial role in ensuring that their service force is continuously optimized to support customers when fast response time is essential for customer satisfaction. Hear how the Field Scheduling system has been enhanced with Alteryx to bring together disparate data sets from logistics and the worldwide field workforce management system to visualize, analyze and optimize the global field service workforce. Steve will also share a story about a lemonade stand and how it helped him collaborate with IT to get access to detailed data – not aggregate data - required for the analysis.
