Alteryx Designer 9.5 includes example workflows that focus on the use and configuration for each tool in the Favorites category. Because these examples explain the use of one tool at a time, we refer to them as "One-Tool Examples."
To open a One-Tool Example, go to the Tool Palette, click on any tool in the Favorites category to open its tool-tip, and then click the 'Open Example" link.
Here is an image of the One-Tool Example for the Sort Tool:

To make use of this example, simply run the workflow and compare the input (Text Input tool) with each of the outputs (Browse tools). Whenever possible, One-Tool Examples use a single input and don't have any other tools in the workflow. This makes it easy to focus on the tool being demonstrated, and to compare how different configurations of a single tool can affect a data stream.
Some One-Tool Examples include screenshots to show more information and a "More Info" box at the bottom with additional tips. The examples for the Join and Union tools even include a special workflow at the bottom that demonstrates both tools together, making it easy to compare them.

We believe the One-Tool Examples provide an additional way for users to learn and master the Alteryx Designer, but we'd love to hear what you think in the comments below. Are they helpful? What tools beyond the Favorites would benefit most from One-Tool Examples?
Alteryx Analytics 9.5 includes several other usability improvements, including:
- The Browse tool icon has changed (see above) to differentiate it from the Output Data tool icon.
- The Filter tool provides a Basic Filter option for easily querying on a single field.
- Connection arrows snap into place when dragged near an input anchor.
- New visual cues provide guidance for dragging tools onto the canvas.
