The data people have descended upon Las Vegas and Tableau Conference 2017 (TC17) is officially underway! Day 1 of TC17 was a whirlwind of excitement for the Alteryx team – and I’m not talking about the bells, whistles and lights of the slot machines – and we’re just getting started!

Day 1 Recap

tc17-day1.pngThe Expo Hall was buzzing with energy as TC17 attendees mingled and networked with new and old friends, and learned more about the great Tableau partner ecosystem during the Welcome Reception. The Alteryx booth had no shortage of visitors looking to learn more about the Alteryx-Tableau partnership, seeing demos, getting the newly updated Alteryx Starter Kit for Tableau, and collecting their very own Alteryx patch to proudly showcase their analytics pride – at TC and beyond! For those really ready to display their love of self-service analytics platforms, we also had a tattoo artist on-hand inking body parts I can’t even mention…OK, so the tattoos may have been press-ons, but they were badass nonetheless!

What is Still to Come

The fun and learning to be had in the Alteryx booth will be an event-long staple, so if you missed the Welcome Reception, fear not.  Additionally, we have several breakout sessions that will prove to be insightful for all those looking to learn more about Alteryx.

Client Speaker Session featuring Charles Schwab

Join Alteryx User Group Leader, Kristen Bedore, and Alteryx ACE, Jack Morgan — both of Charles Schwab — as they discuss all things related to disparate data during “Disparate Times Call for Non-Disparate Measures.”  Using data from the Destiny 2 (popular online video game) API and public casino data, they’ll showcase how disparate data doesn’t lead to desperation when you have the appropriate analytics platforms in place.

  • Tuesday, October 10th, from 2:00pm - 3:00pm in South – L2 – Breakers I

Hands-On Labs

“The Thrill of Solving, First-Hand: Hands-On Analytics Lab with Alteryx” had such great demand that our partners at Tableau graciously asked us to present the session twice – jackpot! Join us in the North – Mariners breakout room during either of the dates and times listed below to experience why countless Tableau users rely on Alteryx to connect to, blend, and analyze data from multiple sources. Lab leads will walk attendees through using the Alteryx platform to cut mundane data preparation time and quickly create sophisticated predictive and spatial analytic models that accelerate time to "data-ha!" insights! Get a glimpse into the power of the Alteryx platform and your free Alteryx trial with sample analytical workflows and Tableau visualizations when you attend this session.

  • Tuesday, October 10th, 10:45am - 11:45am in North - Mariners
  • Tuesday, October 10th, 2:00pm - 3:00pm in North - Mariners
  • Wednesday, October 11th, 10:15am - 11:15am in North - Mariners

Social Fun

Not all the TC17 fun is taking place in Las Vegas.  Be sure to take part in the thrills via @alteryx to get live updates from the conference, and visit the Alteryx TC17 microsite for additional opportunities to connect with the Alteryx team during Tableau Conference.
