Alteryx TrainingAfter months of preparation, Inspire 2015 is now just a few days away! If you are one of the hundreds of registrants who also signed up for the complimentary product training classes we offer during Inspire – congratulations! You are making an investment in your skills that will pay immediate dividends.

If you haven't signed up for training or would like to add additional classes, there's still time to pre-register. Visit the conference agenda page to see what classes are offered (and when), then log into the conference scheduler to make your selections.

Here are some tips to help you get the most out of next week's training:

  • Bring your laptop with Alteryx Designer 9.5 installed and licensed. Please note that no computers will be provided in the sessions.
  • If you want to install Alteryx Designer on a different computer for the conference or currently do not have an Alteryx license, log into the FTP server using the credentials provided in your confirmation email, and look in the "AlteryxTemporaryLicense" folder to find a temporary Inspire training license.
  • To follow along during the sessions you will also need to install the Inspire Training Data Kit. Download and run "Inspire_Installer.exe" from the FTP server to extract the necessary files. Then, run "DataInstall.exe" from the extracted file location to begin the installation.
  • Some classes will require the installation of the predictive analytics tools. Most people install these tools at the end of the Alteryx Designer 9.5 installation process. If you did not install these tools you may add them by consulting the Help menu inside Alteryx Designer and selecting the option to install the predictive tools. These tools are required for the following classes:
    • Predictive Analytics for Beginning Users
    • Predictive Analytics for Intermediate Users
    • Predictive Analytics for Advanced Users
  • Other classes require the installation of the spatial analytics tools. If you have a standard Alteryx Designer license you do not have these tools, but you can install and use them during Inspire 2015. Download and run "Spatial_Content.exe" from the FTP server to extract the necessary files. Then, run "DataInstall.exe" from the extracted file location to begin the installation. For a temporary license to use during Inspire 2015, visit the "AlteryxTemporaryLicense" folder on the FTP site. These tools are required for the following classes:
    • Spatial Analytics for Beginning Users
    • Spatial Analytics for Intermediate Users
    • Spatial Analytics: The Location Optimizer for Advanced Users

If you have any additional questions regarding the training or using the temporary licenses, please contact training@alteryx.com. For assistance with installation, please contact clientservices@alteryx.com.

We look forward to seeing you in Boston!
