Understanding customers is the key to enterprise decision-making, and the process of customer analytics has come to rely on a growing array of new data types. Data comes in various forms and in various categories, e.g., geospatial and social. What’s more, the data may be stored within the enterprise’s internal infrastructure, in a cloud environment, in a SaaS application, or simply as a continuous stream of unstructured information in a Web service. With the release of Alteryx Analytics 9.0, we provide data connectivity to several new sources customer data.

Customer analytics can be enhanced by deriving insights from user interactions across a wide variety of social media sources. Alteryx has built direct connectors for Foursquare and Twitter. Additionally, patterns can be observed using historical data from the DataSift and GNIP connectors, which provide access to over 20 sources of social media data.

 

While social media sources offer insight into what customers are saying, the key to growing and nurturing the relationship with a customer is staying involved in the full marketing and sales cycles. Alteryx Analytics 9.0 facilitates this process by providing connectivity to Google Analytics, Marketo, and Salesforce.

 

In addition to traditional and sales/marketing specific web services, additional customer-related data is often stored in enterprise-scale data warehouses. Therefore, to complete the picture of customer engagement, Alteryx Analytics 9.0 now provides connectors to Amazon Redshift, HP Vertica, Microsoft SQL Server, and Pivotal Greenplum.

 

Finally, analysts who want access to data trapped in legacy file formats can bring this data into Alteryx using new connectors to SAS and IBM SPSS. And, if they want to perform advanced visualization outside of Alteryx, our new connector to Qlikview joins our existing Tableau connector to give you the best of both worlds – data blending and advanced analytics in Alteryx, followed by visualization in either market-leading visualization platform.
