Alteryx Alumni (Retired)

Dean-Stoecker-CEO.pngOur very own Dean Stoecker, CEO, has been inducted into the prestigious Data 50 rankings by British publication Information Age.

The Data 50 rankings are updated each year to recognise the top individuals and companies driving data innovation and business value for enterprises. The Data 50 Awards are the UK’s premier initiative for celebrating what they call “data leadership and excellence among the sector’s highest achievers.”

By being inducted into the 2017 programme, Dean has been officially recognised among the top data leaders this year. Dean also won a special recognition award in the Global Leaders category.

How did he get onto the list?

Dean is a frequent presenter at various industry events, and in October, he was recognised by Goldman Sachs as one its intriguing entrepreneurs for 2016. He also keynotes every year at the Alteryx Inspire User Conference, and last year, for the first time ever, the company held Alteryx Inspire Europe in London with over 500 people attending to learn and share more about self-service analytics. This year the theme will be ‘Icons of Analytics’!

His understanding of business needs and the technology space has help fuel the impressive SaaS metrics of Alteryx since its inception in 2010. Recognising that the generational shift in enterprise computing was creating a vast new market for self-service data analytics; Dean led the company from a geo-spatial and consultative company, through building its core software platform, and pivoted it in 2010 to Alteryx and the self-service analytics company it is today.

Data really is the key to everything

His nomination is well deserved, because Dean’s vision is to make heroes of data analysts, as they are uniquely placed to solve the greatest challenges facing our businesses and world. Dean sees the citizen data scientist as the preeminent figure of our times. We’re lucky enough to have the greatest access to data of any generation in history. But it’s only through analysis we find engaging, meaningful insights.

Information Age is a magazine for executives, regardless of job title, involved in the application of technology in business. Likewise, the Alteryx platform is for all knowledge workers, regardless of job title, involved in the application of intelligence to business decision-making.

Here’s to Dean and to solving the biggest problems the world faces, with smarter solutions.
