Hi,

We are planning to upgrade Alteryx Server from 11.5 to the 2019.3, Can someone help with the process and how to get the new license key first (the licenses changed after 11.7).

This setup was done by someone who is no longer working with us, they have set up the Admin username and password(which we don't have), how to reset the master admin password.

Thanks,

Krishna Kommineni

Please note that the upgrade will need to be a two-stage process in your instance as we've upgraded the underlying database (MongoDB) twice between 11.3 and 2019.3 -  to 3.4 in v2018.1 followed by and upgrade to 4.0 in v2019.4.

You can get all the previous installers from our download portal.

In order to get the new license key please reach out to your Alteryx representative.

As for the admin password, you can change the default gallery administrator from within the Alteryx System Settings - you should see the below icon on the desktop when you remote desktop into the machine the server is installed on. Alternatively, open Alteryx Designer on the server machine and navigate to Options > Advanced Options > System Settings

You will be able to change the default admin in the Gallery > Authentication section

If you already are a curator on the Gallery, you can reset user passwords via the Admin panel on the Gallery within the Users section
