Alteryx Server License Key and performance analysis

Hi,

We are doing a high profile POC with Alteryx Designer and Tableau Server for Billions of data using our Data Pipeline.

Our existing stack was a combination of Azure DataBricks, Azure Synapse and Power BI.

But we are not getting the optimal results as the size of our data is pretty huge volume and we have found that Tableu server itself cannot process this amount of data then we are very much eager to explore Alteryx as it empowers BI analysts with a re-useable workflow for self-service data prep, so less time preparing data and invest more time analyzing data in Tableau.

Giving a rough estimation of Data load with Tableau server: 1 Million records ~ 2 min and 5 million ~ 12.7 min and for 175 million ~ more than 6 hours.

But with the Alteryx designer we are getting the almost same kind of numbers and we have realized that we need to use Alteryx server to achieve the optimal ones but just for POC and to get the go ahead approval we are doing some POC but NOT ABLE TO GET ALTERYX SERVER TRIAL LICENSE.

So, if possible can you provide us for a smaller duration trial version of Alteryx Server.

At the same time if you can provide some numbers of data loading duration in Alteryx server in terms of million or billion .... will be really helpful for us.

Thanks

Kalyanasish

Hi @mickymics --

You should reach out to your Alteryx Account Executive -- they should be able to get you a trial of Alteryx Server. There is also the Alteryx Analytics Hub that might be even better for you to trial! Here's the data sheet: https://www.alteryx.com/sites/default/files/2020-06/Alteryx-Analytic-Hub-Data-Sheet.pdf

The reason you might want to choose Alteryx Analytics Hub over Alteryx Server is because of the new AMP Engine (Alteryx Multi-threaded Processing). It's designed to work with larger volumes of data at a higher velocity. Hub's scaling capabilities are also something that will be helpful for you!

I suggest talking to your Account Executive about both and the possibility of trialing one of them!

Best,

Ashley

Hi Ashley,

Thanks for your valuable suggestion but I have tried to contact them but no response.

Can you please provide some reference of the Account Executive team because we are in the middle of the process and got stuck.

And surely I will check the Analytics Hub solution also.

Thanks
