When the MongoDB was migrated from another machine the steps https://help.alteryx.com/current/server/server-host-recovery-guide were not followed completely. Especially, section 1 steps 6-  9 were skipped or not performed correctly.

Therefore the machine keys of current machine have not been used to encrypt passwords / keys of MongoDB.

Go through section 1 steps 6 - 9 of the Server Host Recovery Guide - https://help.alteryx.com/current/server/server-host-recovery-guide
