Environment Details

The following error occurs when running the Alteryx server usage report:

Alteryx Server Usage Report (8): CollectionExists_collections.batch (534): Record #1: Tool #31: No valid fields were selected.

    • Version 2020.4+

  • Alteryx Server Usage Report

 

 



Cause


The error happens when there are no collections on the gallery/server as the MongoDB input tool would not have any data to read from the "collections" collection.



Resolution

1. Navigate to Alteryx Gallery -> Collections > Add New Collection

 
2. Add a workflow or schedule job to this new collection 

 
3. Re-running the Alteryx Server Usage report would give the expected results once you have at least one collection ion your server/gallery.
