GCSE-332: Blank Window/incorrect error when publishing workflow from higher Designer version to lower Server version

Issue

Attempting to publish a workflow from a higher Designer version to a lower Server version displays an incorrect error or a blank window. If there are existing Gallery details on the machine, the workflow can be published.


For built-in authentication, the following error will be displayed: 
Email or Password were incorrect. Please try again

For Windows authentication, the following error will be displayed: 
Error during network call

For SAML authentication, a blank window will be shown:

Cause

 

The cause is due to incompatible Designer and Server versions.



Resolution


GCSE-332/TCPE-160 has been logged to request a proper error message to be displayed.
