Currently we have one workflow that is published from Alteryx Designer to the Gallery, unlike the rest that are published by importing to the gallery.
Using File > Save As > [Your Gallery], we on Workflow Options and then Set Workflow Credentials, which has worked for 50% of our DevOps team. The deployment disruption risk is higher now because changes in our security will not allow us to do this anymore.
We have two AD accounts:
• The regular account logs onto laptops for daily work
• The privileged account is for elevated access, such as “curator”
The issue is, there is a new restriction on use of privileged accounts(the curator account) from desktops. Meaning, we will no longer be able to run Alteryx Designer on our desktops with a “Run As” command in order to follow the steps you mentioned.
This is why the Case #00807433 was created; hoping for either a Workflow setting or database field to do the same, instead of using designer.
