returned an error code: 1: The system could not find the environment option that was enter

Question

I am seeing the following error while calling workflow from my Gallery,

returned an error code: 1: The system could not find the environment option that was entered. (203)

I did check the results of the workflow is exactly as expected, what is this error for , how can I resolve this error ?

Unfortunately the solution in the link above has an extremely low rate of working.  In fact, I can find no examples of users where this actually worked (that's not to say it never has worked, I'm just not aware of any).  It would be nice to have a true fix for it though, as it plagues a lot of us.
