When I have a workflow that has been running on a schedule for a long time, and I want to disable it, I deselect "enable this schedule" and click save. And I get the error
The schedule will never run with the selected start date. Select a different start date.
This is annoying anyway with recurring schedules (yes, for a one-off scheduled run, a date in the past should be prevented. But for a recurring daily schedule at 8 AM, if the date is in the past, just let me save it and run it daily from 8 AM starting now??)
But when disabling a schedule it is just a pointless nuisance to have to change the date in a case like this.
Is there an easy way to prevent this, or can I ask Alteryx to change this?
@CullenJ If you update the start date to a time later than the current moment, it will fix it. I know you are simply editing a pre-existing workflow but I am guessing it saves a new version of the schedule in the logs, therefore it needs to have a valid "start date" even if it's getting disabled.
I don't know of an easy way to disable this, but updating the start date will fix the issue.

@CullenJ, that also bothers me so much, but there is currently no fix for that.
