Workflow runs triggered from API do not show up in Gallery UI

Question

We trigger some workflow runs from another application via the API "POST /v1/workflows/{appId}/jobs/" on our Alteryx Server.  We would like end users to go to the Gallery to download the resulting files.  However, none of such workflow runs show up on Workflow Results screen or the Workflow details screen.  Is this by design?  Is there a way to make the API triggered workflow runs to show up in the Gallery?

I believe it's by design, but there is an Idea posted to make the results visible in the Gallery:
