Hi All,
When publishing an Alteryx workflow to Alteryx Gallery, there is a key difference between "Save" and "Save As"
Save: Updates an existing workflow in the Gallery.
Save As: Creates a new workflow in the Gallery.
Unusual behavior exists- whenever a user tries to save their workflow to the server, the Gallery creates a new version of it.
This is happening for few users only, how to overcome the issue?

@EN6924 You will have to save it using "Save As" only. This will save the workflow for the specific user. If u just want to update the existing workflow use the "Save" option. Hope this helps!

@stataltgee the user is trying to save the same workflow but instead of overwriting it is creating a new one. He is only hitting save option. How to overcome the issue so that it won't create a new copy?

Hi @EN6924
You must open the WF first in the server otherwise it will save another copy when you save it.
File -> Open Workflow -> Alteryx Server , than you can salve without create another copy.

@EN6924 try saving it by opening in designer first: FILE > Open WF > Alteryx Server > Gallery name. After that try using "SAVE" option. While saving make sure other configuration previously selected is as it is. U will see "publish new version". Make sure it's ticked.
