Use of Pages on Gallery

Could some one explain the use of Pages on Gallery?

The Viewers do not have Pages tab in their Gallery log-in, so is Pages a place for only admins to note things down?

I searched on the community and documentation and could not find anything on Links and Pages.

Thank you for the link. What are some use cases for Pages and Links? Links are visible to all users but Pages are not. So If you need to share the Page with a few group of people, one has to share it through email. Right?
