I am looking to improve my server admin and setup skills but am unsure about the best resources / way to go about that. Is there a way to get a sandbox server environment for free or do you just have to read the online resources? Thanks for any advice :)

I should note I'm definitely going to go through the learning path I just wanted to see if I can play in a sandbox environment somehow. Doubtful though!
