Unknown Server Error -PrincipalOperationException

Hi,

Our organization began experiencing an Unknown Server error yesterday mid-day, across multiple unconnected Galleries (all using different versions) across entirely disconnected divisions (but all on the same corporate network). The issue is only affecting portions of our interactions with the Gallery. The only error message we get is when we search for a workflow in the Gallery.

Other than the above, when we do any of the following things, the screen just hangs and loads indefinitely.

 - Go to Collections, Insights, Collections

 - Open a workflow on the Gallery from Designer

 - Try to save a workflow to the Gallery

The issue has already been raised with Alteryx and our internal IT (who said everything looks fine to them) and appears to be network related. Any ideas on what might causing this issue?

This seems like it could be related to ActiveDirectory and SSL certificates?

In our case, IT had made a change to the domain controller server that was preventing servers from connecting to the domain. In the Gallery server log files, I searched for the error message and found that the server began throwing the error at midnight and continued to throw the error each time it reached out. In the log files, directly after the error message, a more detailed description of the error was logged with the domain controller server name and settings. Once the issue was identified, it was a quick update for IT and the issue was quickly fixed.
