Tree Interface Rendering Time

Has anyone found a way to improve the time it takes the Gallery to render the Tree interface tools?
I have about 2 million rows in my key file used for the Tree interface and the Gallery is really lagging when trying to load it.  I've tried uploading the key file with the app and placing the key file on a drive that is local to the server.  Doesn't make a difference.
Edit: my tree key is stored in a yxdb.

It is in a yxdb already.

If it's already YXDB and you tried it locally on the server, then I don't see a way to make it any faster.  Might just be the nature of the tree tool.  I have one that's only about 50,000 records, and it's almost instantaneous, but you can see visually if you're watching closely a slight delay.  So it might just be the nature of it.
