Tableau Tools error

Hi All,

I developed a workflow in Alteryx Designer using the Tableau Input and Output tools and it worked, but when I published the same workflow to Gallery, the Tableau connection didn't work and I'am getting the following error

"This Data Source was created using a schema tableauoutput.app-tableau that’s not currently present on your system"

I have published the Tableau connection to Gallery by doing the following:

From Alteryx Designer, I went to File->Manage Connections and then synchronized credentials.

I also tried to create the connection from Gallery according to the following documentation, but I don't see the connector name "Tableau.. "in the Technology drop down.

Has anybody else had this error, or have any ideas how to fix this?

Hi @eroldan,

The root cause was the absence of a defined data source and the corresponding credential mapping. In the Tableau Output tool, the workflow requires selecting a data source prior to assigning the appropriate credential object. A UI enhancement in Alteryx—such as enforcing data-source selection before exposing eligible credentials—would mitigate configuration errors and improve usability.
