Show PDF in gallery results?

I'm generating a PDF report that consists of a map, a table, and some text, and it runs fine on my server. My issue is that I would like to show the output to the user instead of just a link to the file. Is this possible?

Looks like you can't for specific file types, but when you select "Composer" filetype it shows the output and gives download links as well.
