Shared Gallery Connection for Salesforce - possible or not?

From what I understand there is currently no option to share a 'Salesforce' connection on Alteryx Gallery (as per OCI, SQL, ODBC) - rather we need to use the Salesforce input tool - configure within the workflow and then publish to the gallery.

 

Can anyone provide some confirmation that I'm not missing something?

Hi Jonesen,

 

Thank you for posting on the Alteryx community. Yes, your understanding is correct. There isn't a Salesforce Connection available, only a Salesforce Input tool. The only way to share the connection is by sharing the Salesforce tool within the workflow.
