Server Version Upgrade Data Connections

Hi We are about to upgrade our server version from 2019.2 to 2020.2

I'm hoping the answer to this will be 'absolutely yes' but i wanted to check first...

Are existing data connections and user permissions maintained through the upgrade?

@NatSnook

Yes, it should.  But....

Make a backup before up before and copy some files to a different location.

Have the installation file for 2019.2 available if things go belly up.  It should be available at licenses.alteryx.com  (edit: I looked and yes, you can download the older version if necessary.)

That's a big jump.  I'm loving Alteryx 2020.

Good luck!

Yes i will do the Mongo db backups and a snapshot to be sure 🙂

It's a big jump but not as big as our designer version that will soon follow and upgrade from 2018.2 to 2020.2 eeek 🙂
