Hi,
We just upgraded our server to 2024.1 and I'm in the process of updating all of our connectors. I upgraded to the latest SharePoint tools, SharePoint_py3.10_v2.7.3. The SharePoint Input tool works as expected but I'm getting a weird error on the Output tool. All the error says is, "DriveId". I have the Option set to "Append"
Has anyone run into this error and what was the fix? TIA

Hi @BonusCup,
Thanks for reaching out to us. It seems you need to reconfigure the SharePoint Output tool to update the target Drive ID. These errors happen when the configuration is missing the DriveId after an upgrade. Please delete the current SharePoint Output tool and replace it with a new one. Then, reconnect your DCM SharePoint connection, reselect the Site and Document Library (Drive) from the dropdown menus, and browse to the specific folder or file. This will force the tool to cache the correct DriveId.
If the Drive or Library dropdowns do not populate, re-authenticate the DCM connection by resetting the credentials so the connector can list drives. Then, reselect the Drive and test again. Hope this helps.

@Dean4U thank you for the reply. I removed the SP Input and Output tools from C:\ProgramData\Alteryx\Tools and then downloaded and installed the most current version, SharePoint_py3.10_v2.7.4. I reconfigured the Output tool and now I get a different error. I no longer get the "DriveId" error but now get, "No Data Found". Both errors seem to happen when there are no records that need to be appended.
Hi @BonusCup,
Thanks for checking out my response! It looks like the Output tool is erroring only when the incoming stream has zero rows. In that case it can’t resolve what or where to append and throws “No Data Found” instead of quietly doing nothing.
In the SharePoint Output tool, browse to the exact target file (using a fixed path) and keep the Operation as 'Append'. Test with a 0-row branch. This typically runs without error.
If the file is Excel, also confirm the file already exists and the sheet name matches the config you’re appending to.
A failure while using Append is often caused by an incorrect configuration that prevents a successful connection or write operation, even if no data is passed. Please verify the data types, site, and drive/folder/file path.
Let us know if this helps.

@Dean4U, we are not outputting to a SP file, we are outputting to a SP List. I found a fix for a different SP Output issue that seems to be working. I added the SP Output tool to a control container and then from the output anchor of the tool before the SP Output goes to both the control container and to the SP Output.
I'm not sure why it works but we have not been getting any errors.
@BonusCup Ah! Thanks for clarifying that you are outputting an SP list. It probably works because it prevents the Output tool from running when there are zero rows. The “No Data Found” error happens when the Output tool executes with an empty input. By feeding a control signal into the container, the tools inside only run when at least one record is present. If you ever see errors when there are rows, double-check the list permissions and field mappings.
Thanks for sharing the solution with the community! 🙂
Take care.
