Salesforce Input Tool DCM Schema Issue

LHolmes
9 - Comet

Using Alteryx Server 2025.1.2.165 Patch: 3 and installed Salesforce Input Tool versions 5.1.3 and 5.1.4. When synching the connection in DCM the gallery shows the following error:

This Data Source was created using a schema ayx.api-salesforce that’s not currently present on your system.

Checked that Tool is installed in ProgramData\Alteryx\Tools as admin (vs user).

Connection works locally on server machine's Designer.

Looking for solutions to ensure the connection is usable in Server.

Hi @LHolmes,

Thanks for reaching out to the Community. This error might be due to the DCM schema not being registered or synchronized properly with Alteryx Server/Gallery. The DCM provider schema for Salesforce (ayx.api-salesforce) may not be registered or visible to the Server/Gallery environment, even though it exists locally.

Please check out this guide for DCM setup. You will need to ensure that DCM is enabled on the Server (via System Settings or configuration) and the same user who created the connection is syncing it to the Server.

Also, the connection must be explicitly published or synced to the Gallery. Please go to Options > Advanced Options > Manage Data Connections. Then locate your Salesforce DCM connection, select it, and click 'Share with Server' or 'Publish to Gallery'.

Then, in the Gallery (web UI), check if the connection is visible under Data Connections, and that it shows the correct tool version and credential association.

Please keep in mind that each DCM-enabled connector (such as the Salesforce Input Tool) registers a DCM schema provider (ayx.api-salesforce). If the admin didn't schema adequately during tool installation, the Server won’t recognize the connection.

You can also try reinstalling the Salesforce Input Tool as an admin and then restarting the Alteryx Server service to register the schema.

Hope this helps. :)

Take care.
