SNMP - Simple Network Management Protocol?

Does Alteryx Server platform support SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol)

in order to monitor hw/sw failures and errors from a centralized location through SNMP?

MongoDB 3.2 seems to have this feature,

but not sure if that provides performance metrics on all of the Alteryx server...

This is a requirement received from an RFP, FYI

Hi again,

As I wrote on the other post the Alteryx server is installed on a Windows Operating system. This also means that you can do the same things with SNMP as you would usually do. Is there something special that you are looking for?

Best,

Daniel

Hi Daniel,

Client is asking if they can monitor the Alteryx server nodes,

So I haven't done that myself before... Any suggestions on how it's done?

Hi,

Again I would say it depends on the metrics. There are log files that can be read and general server monitoring that can be done, but it is not like there is a SNMP button on the Alteryx server.

I would say that this gives a pretty good impression of how the server setup is running. Maybe the attached document can help you a bit more.

@Atabarezz

do you want to monitor the Alteryx Gallery Performance

i think you can query the MogoDB and grab the details?

As an FYI, there is a app that you can download from the Alteryx site...

http://downloads.alteryx.com/downloads.html

...that shows how you can get information related to Gallery usage. It might be helpful on possible approaches to reporting from the server install.

The need is not oversseing Gallery usage but every comm detail

under the hood of Alteryx server nodes alltogether, I'll look in to this app try and write back...

Thanks for the help
