Reduce workflow run time in Alteryx Server

Hi,

I request immediate help on the below.

what could be the reason that workflows ran for long time in Alteryx Server.

Some of the workflows running for long time like more than 2 hours. Is there any thing that can take action to reduce the run time for workflows in Alteryx server?

Thanks for your response.

Some of workflows are running 30 mints in Designer where as in Server running more than 2 hours.

Users concerned about the same and asking for where the problem lies.

How long does the workflow take to run in standard Designer? Is it around the same time or shorter?

If the workflow runs shorter in standard Designer, it might be taking a long time to run due to firewalls and data being transferred from location to location.

I'd also recommend revisiting your workflow and seeing where efficiencies can be made. You can do this by removing/disabling browse tools, combining filters and formulas, etc. Take a look at this article for some tips and tricks:

Best thing to do is go into the module, check the "Enable Performance Profiling" box, run it, and check out the output log.  It will tell you where your bottle necks are.
