Migrating Platform for Alteryx Server, Not sure about Sever secret or Storage Key changes

Hello,

I am migrating 2020.3.1 to a new server.  Not sure if my failure to connect is due to the wrong secret, key or smtp password.

From the RuntimeData.xml: <ServerSecretEncrypted>, <StorageKeysEncrypted>,<SmtpPasswordEncrypted>

I took over for this before migration and was not involved in the original setup.

Would the Server Secret, Storage Keys and SMTP Password remain the same?

If not, how would I obtain the new values and encrypt them?

I am troubleshooting an Azure SSO error, so trying to play process of elimination.

THank you,

rdt

Hello @tothd ,

Below documentation has the steps that you are looking for.

Alteryx Service command line options provide you with ability to set the Server secret, Run as account and SMTP password.

Regarding storage secret encrypted, you will just have to copy the value from your original server and put it in runtimesettings.xml in your new server. Again, this process is very well explained in the host recovery guide.
