Linking UsageReport to Users in AlteryxGallery

I'm looking to join the UsageReports to Users mongodb data. I would have thought the UserID field from UsageReports would align with the _id field in Users but it doesn't. Anyone have any thoughts here? By the way, I cannot link on serialNumber (email) from UsageReports because it is null in many cases.
