Installation of Alteryx Server

Question

Hi Folks,

We have 2 new VMs and there is a requirement to install & setup complete Alteryx Server (2023.1) +Gallery. One for Development and another for Production purpose. Single node environment where Controller, Gallery and worker will be installed in same server.

OS: Windows Server 2019 Standard, 4 core system, Physical memory 128 GB, Disk volume 1 TB

What are the prerequisites to follow before proceeding?

What will be the steps to proceed step by step? Please guide.

Hi @RE5260 ,

I would say it is important to:

* Define the authentication method (built-in, active directory or SAML) in advance and guarantee the new server can access it. 
* Define if the server will use SSL or not (http or https) and go after this cert. The SSL cert adds a new level of security and also gives you the option to have a custom URL to your server
* Download all the ODBC drivers that will be used
* After the installation and configuration, test if the Gallery is accessible from inside and outside the server machine. 
* Have Admin access to the server. 
* Install Alteryx server and configure the workspace to be in a different drive. If you have to install on the C drive, have at least an additional drive for the workspace
