Gallery user name as a constant/parameter within workflow

I am trying to create an analytic application for the gallery in which the username of the person logged into the gallery and running the application is passed through the workflow as a data point, maybe as a constant or parameter within the workflow.

I know I can set up an interface tool that requires people to put in their user name/ID, but was wondering if there is a way to dynamically grab this information based on the user information which was used to log into the gallery to run the application.
