Gallery SMTP Configuration Error - "Please enter a valid mail address"

Hello,

I'm trying to setup the Gallery SMTP Configuration but I'm getting an error "Please enter a valid mail address". I'm using the following settings (that work with all of our other applications).

The error that I'm getting:

Even if I use my personal gmail account with the configuration below I get the same error as above, while I'm sure that it should work.

Does anyone have the slightest idea why i get this error?

1. Please verify that the host name is correct; check if you are able to successfully ping and telnet to it.

2. If you are using using SSL, please check if the SSL certificate is installed properly. Please use the following community article as a reference for using SSL:

I had a similar issue and solved it by updating the port to 587
