Drop down tool showing only data Type

History about my Problem (I am not sure if it may be necessary):

Hi everyone, first time asking questions about Alteryx tools. I used to find the answer for myself but not today.

I was trying to follow The interactive lessons from this community and got stuck in the topic "Creating Analytics Apps" in the first lesson "Using Analytics Applications".

My Problem:

I was trying to use the drop down tool because instead of it shows values for users pick it show "Data Types" like bool and string.

I have been trying every option of both tools (drop down tool and action tool) but it only shows error messages or it shows the same solution(Data types to pick).

Hi @PauloHS ,

You can use the attached Alteryx Workflow to configure your Dropdown.

Alternatively you can also use External Source from the 'List Values' List and give reference to your external file which will have name and value columns in the data.
