Does reinstallation of same version of Alteryx causes loss of data

Hi team,

We are in the process of upgrading Alteryx Server from 2024.1 to 2024.2. But some issue causses at the stage of python dependencies installation due to missing of VCRUNTIME.dll. But upgrade completed and now server is in 2024.2 version. But python work books are not working.

So, we are planning to install Visual C++ redistributable, then un-install 2024.2 and then install 2024.2 again. 

Query is if we are doing this any chance for data loss. We are using embedded Mongo DB.

@laijucbabu In my experience, directory 'Program Data\Alteryx' still remains after uninstalling program, so you should have no issue. But for just in case, get dump file of Mongo DB before proceeding uninstall process so you can recover the service for sure.
