Desktop vs Gallery Execution Times

I'm generating multiple statements from a report using a macro and via render tool and saving on a network drive. When running it on Desktop Designer, it takes just a couple of minutes (10-12mins.). But when I run it via Private Gallery, it takes over 6hrs. to complete the same task.

Is there any way I can bring the execution times lower via Gallery route.

First doubt would be the speed of data transfer on the network. Please check the difference of the location between Designer(your computer) and Server in your organization. If they exist at different sub-net, your Server may be trying to reach to data source that locates far away even though your computer(Designer) can access rapidly.

In order to examine this possibility, you can disable all Rendering tool and try to run WF to see the execution time is still slow or not. By doing this, you will see whether bottleneck exists at the process of rendering and saving the results.
