Data Management/Lifecycle within Self-service Apps on Alteryx Server

Question

Hi,

I have workflows which serve as self-service apps where a user drops in an Excel input in the interface by navigating through their file directory, and hit run. They then collect the output from their end which typically is a manipulated Excel.

Does anybody know if Alteryx stores a copy of the input that the user drops in? Is there such a thing as it living in memory etc.

Hi @alishadhillon__ ,

The file is saved on MongoDB temporarily according to your Alteryx system settings. However, the file owner can only access this file with the file browse tool when running an app.
