Darshan Hiranandani : Error Uploading Large File to Tableau Server with Publish Tool

Hi everyone,

I am Darshan Hiranandani, currently trying to upload a large file to Tableau Server using the Publish to Tableau tool in Alteryx. However, I am encountering an issue. Even though the file uploads 100% and I can see the full data set on Tableau Server, I still receive the error message:

"The file was not uploaded successfully."

Unfortunately, I can not use the new Tableau output tool because the Alteryx governance team in my organization has not approved its use on the Alteryx server yet.

The issue is causing problems in my workflow since I’m using a runner to trigger subsequent workflows. If this one errors out, the rest of the workflows do not run. So, I need to find a way to bypass or resolve this error.

Has anyone experienced a similar issue or have any suggestions on how to handle this?

If those steps do not solve the problem for you, then I recommend creating a support ticket through MyAlteryx to ensure Customer Support is aware and can provide help.
