Confirmation on user rights, permissions required to access DCM connections

Hi all,

I'm working on a new use case where the goal is to create DCM credentials on Alteryx Server and use those credentials in the Alteryx Designer. The team is medium to large so we don't want the users to have to add the connection details everytime they work on a new workflow in designer. They should be able to leverage the DCM connections stored on Alteryx Server.

One catch is, although i have access to Alteryx Server separately and open the url , create DCM credentials without any issue. I want to access these DCM connections through Alteryx Designer.

Checkpoints on Alteryx Server access through Alteryx Designer:

* On clicking File>Save As> I can see the alteryx server but unable to publish any workflow there.
* In manage connections also i'm unable to see the server details, dcm connections etc. The Gallery tab is greyed out as well

Please share the right kind of accesses and specific steps to be followed to achieve our end goal.

This will change slightly with newer versions and so it'll be different on 2023.x vs 2025.x I think.

Make sure that you are connected to the server somehow, but sounds like it has been added. Not sure why you can't publish, that may be related, as you may not have successfully set it up.

On " File > Manage Connecxtions > Synchonize (left menu item) > +New (Button top right)" can you add your gallery and get it to load? That would be the first thing I would make sure was working.
