Hi Team,
We planned to upgrade our Alteryx server version from 2023.1 to 2024.2 but due to mongodb version mismatch, we thought of first upgrading it to 2023.2. After the installation, while validating the system settings, we ran into an error as shown in the image attached. We tried few methods to fix it but couldn’t resolve. Could you please help us with the resolution for this issue. Please let me know if you need any other details.
Regards,
Mounika
Hi @E_G_Mounika ,
I got this once and the quick fix is deleting the runtimesettings file on C:\ProgramData\Alteryx
1. Create a backup of the file first
2. Delete the file
3. Open the Alteryx System Settings and recreate the configuration as it was. The persistence will be blank but if it is pointing to the mongodb folder, it will be
Not sure why, but sometimes after an upgrade where there are changes to the structure of this file, ths error happens.
Another thing that is super important but not related to this specific error is running the pre upgrade check before every upgrade. If you didn't, your upgrade can fail due to some known inconsistencies in your mongodb.

Hi,
I followed these steps but unfortunately it didn't help. We are unable to start the services and validation of system settings are also failing.
Any suggestion would help.
