Alteryx Service not Starting: Access Denied

Hi Experts,

Good day. 

We are currently setting up our Alteryx server and when we try to login using an NPA (Non Personal Account) it always throw an issue Event 7000: "Access Denied". What kind of rights do we need to give the NPA account.

There are two places I've been burned by permissions on the server "runs-as".  The first is in the advanced section of the service where you can say RUN-AS and provide the user/pass.    There is a second spot when going through the Alteryx configuration shortcut (normally found on the desktop) to also state who will be running the service.  Make sure they both agree and have correct user/pass first.

Hi John,

Thank you for taking your time to response. We tried everything in our capability and still for some reasons, the NPA needs to be under an "admin group" to run the service. But, it will be against the least privilege rules. Will contact a Microsoft windows expert on this one. As the alteryx vendor team suggestions doesn't work as well.
