Alteryx Designer installation path - Issue

Ariharan

Hi All,

We have installed Alteryx Server on "E" drive but somehow Server Designer is automatically installed on C Drive (Default Drive). During installation, the server requires you to select a directory for the server installation only, and nowhere we could see the local designer installation directory.

When we execute the workflows inside the server from Alteryx designer the temp files are created in the "C" drive. We want to change the designer's installation path alone inside. How can it be achieved?

Note: we did not install designers separately into the server it automatically installed it when we installed server.exe.

Regards,

Ariharan R

Check the Server Designer settings.  Options -> User Setting -> Edit User Settings.

You should be able to change the temp directory without changing the install.

These can/should have been set in the server settings.  This might be the better place to make changes.
