Alteryx Designer Not Opening After Worker Node Upgrade

After upgrading Alteryx Server from 2023 to 2024.1 on the worker node, Alteryx Designer is not opening.

Error Message:
"Designer does not seem to be installed properly. External component is throwing an exception."

Continuous to the above issue :It looks like Alteryx Designer is installed, the services are running, and the worker node is connected to the gallery, but workflows are failing with the error:

"Error -1: There was an unknown error executing the application. The engine reported status Error."

The issue occurs due to corrupt or conflicting files from the previous version. When upgrading, some old files might remain in the Program FilesAlteryx directory, leading to conflicts with the new version. These residual files can cause the "External component is throwing an exception" error.

By removing/renaming the Alteryx folder and performing a clean installation, we eliminate any outdated or incompatible components, ensuring a proper installation of Alteryx Server 2024.1.
