Alteryx Analytical Applications and Macros from Gallery

I have Few Analytical Applications Created and Uploaded into Gallery, Can I give access to User (who has not Alteryx license or designer access) to run the applications and macros from My Gallery ?

Yes!! 🥳 but you have to have the right permissions

Here is what you have to check and do:

• The user have to create an account and access the gallery
• Apps are privately shared through collections, so you have to create a collection, add the app and the user there. https://help.alteryx.com/20221/server/create-collection
• If you don't have permission to create a collection, you should request the permission for your gallery admin or to ask the admin to do the steps for you
• The user must have the member role to run workflows and apps from collections

Is there Anyway we Can Lock Macros in the Gallery for another Developers to Edit , I need to give them only to use them in their workflows.

Yes, you can lock your macro as shown here: https://help.alteryx.com/20231/designer/lock-your-workflow

After locking the macro, it is not possible to unlock it so you will have to save a copy somewhere else.

Another option, if you are not worried about privacy but with developers updating the workflows and macros, is to set their update assets permission on the collection as No. https://help.alteryx.com/20221/server/manage-collections-users-and-groups
