Alterys Server Configuration and Testing

Hi Alteryx server experts,

1. I Installed the Alteryx server with Integrated Windows Authentication.

2. By using Alteryx System setting, initial config of Environment,Controller, worker, gallery and Engine carried out.

    Base address: http://localhost/gallery/

   Default gallery admin user: Malz\Accountsbi

Client provided the below details (fictitious):

1. DNS: cwc70780.cwaa.fin.malz

2. AD (Active directory) Domain name: MALZ

    AD service acc: Accountsbi

    Password: ******

3. SLS certificate.

with the above details, I will be carrying out the further config as below:

1.Change the base address to: http://cwc70780.cwaa.fin.malz/gallery/

2.save changes.

3.Add the SSL certificate by using the 'netsh' command in the command line and verify the association.

4.Enable the SSL option under the base address.

5.Save and restart the server.

Do i need to configure anything more for server config?

For testing:

1. Go to the Alteryx Designer in the client machine.

2. Create and save the workflow in the designer.

3. Publish the workflow to https://cwc70780.cwaa.fin.malz/gallery/

4. with my Ad details: Accountsbi and Password: ******

Now I should be able to publish the workflow to the server.

Have i followed the required step to configure the Alteryx server and to test?

If i have missed anything, please advice me.

Do i need to do anything on the windows server machine?

Regards,

Raj.

Hi Raj,

It is better to double check your configuration and setting via the folllow link.
