2022.1 Collection "Sort By Date" has no descending chronological order

Basically the topic. I just upgraded from 2021.3 to 2022.1 and observed this pretty inconvenient issue. It looks like that there's 3 possible views: 

1. Default: Chronological ascending.

2. Treating the date as a string then sorting ascending alphabetically: meaning "April", "August", "December", "February", "January", "July", etc. And day of month too, so: 1, 10....19, 2, 20, etc.

3. Same as #2, but descending order.

Sorting by date should be done chronologically, not by how to spell the month, so views #2 and #3 add no value to me. Hoping I can get the collection dates to sort in descending order, so my users can more easily see the latest created collection first, which has been pretty common usage in prior versions. Is there any way to fix or patch this, please?
