Hi Community !
Upgrading from 2019.4 to 2020.1, Alteryx Server now ignores proxy settings when it comes to scheduled workflows.
Is it a known problem ?
Thank you for your replies !
Hi Jean,
Thank you for posting on our Community! After working with the user for this particular issue, we found the root cause.
A couple of notes:
* When entering proxy information into System Settings in Server, it is by design they don't show up again visibly
* The issue in this case however, was related to the Run As user. System proxy configurations and connectivity settings are picked up for the Run As user for which the Alteryx Service runs under. We were able to resolve the issue by manipulating the Run As user.
Thank you and have a great week!
Sabrina
Hi im
having the same issue in Alteryx Desktop 2020.4
Alteryx Desktop (with scheduler) is not taking the proxy settings
I modified the Run As user as sugested with no success.
Anny advice?
Hi @JuanAlvarez1 ,
Hmm... Because proxy server settings and network environments can all be so different it would probably be best to take a deeper look together. If you are able to contact Alteryx Support a SME would likely get on a screen-sharing call to run some diagnostic tests and see what is going on. You can reference this post in your request, hope we are able to help.
When you do contact Support please provide a screenshot of your network configurations from Internet Options --> Connections --> LAN Settings like so:
Thank you,
Sabrina
Was it the solution that worked?
Dear all,
did you resolve this problem? Not sure if this would resolve my issue, because I have the same behaviour in Designer after upgrading from 2023.2 to 2024.1;
Proxy is configured, but download tool ignores it.
Thank you, nico.
