Tool for canvas that allows user to see/edit user constants

I often use user constants in my workflows and ever since the Workflow tab has been buried under the Canvas tab in the Workflow Configuration, I often forget to adjust my constants.   Out of sight, out of mind.  

My suggestion would be to create a tool that could be placed on the canvas with the constant name in the title area and a text box which shows the current value and allows the user to change the value before processing.

+1 I would have never thought of this on my own, but I think this is a great idea!

This might be solved with the idea about allowing the default Workflow Configuration window be the Workflow tab rather than the Canvas tab.

I would still rather have a tool on the desktop but I would not be opposed to that other idea.

If this could be tied into an interface action that would allow constants to be updated in a macro or app it would be fantastic

Yes! Ability to modify during macros would alleviate a bunch of hacks to pass static variables to a macro.

The status of this idea has been changed to 'Inactive'. This status indicates that:

1. The idea has not had activity in the form of likes or comments in over a year.

2. The idea has not reached ten likes.

3. The idea is still in the 'New Idea' status. 

However, this doesn't mean your idea won't be implemented! The Community can still like and comment on this idea. With enough renewed interest, this idea can be brought back into the 'New Idea' status.

I wanted to apply this functionality now but see it's still not here yet (at least in 2019.3).
